This song isn’t new– nor is it pop or rap, but this electronic song has been on repeat since I heard it on the radio a few weeks ago. I’m feeling it and I thought I’d make it my pick of the week because well I’m weird like that! “Faded” by Zhu makes me want to jump up and down in a rave. The drop of the beat gets me every time! I heard this song while eating lunch at work. At first, I thought it was Tyler the Creator, but I took a second guess and thought “um let me Shazam this.” Come to find out– it’s this new up-and-coming artist, Mick Jenkins! Never heard of him until today.
He’s a creative rapper from Chi-town and recently released his sophomore mixtape “The Water(s).” Check out his latest video “Jazz.”
